Grief and Loss

The Floor Has Dropped Out From Under You
It feels as if the floor has dropped out and you can’t get any footing. The emotions keep changing, and there’s no end in sight.
Life in this new version of itself seems impossible: without a loved one, without a relationship, without what has been familiar for so long.
Underneath all of it is a question that’s been sitting with you.
“Is it possible to find peace, and even gratitude for what I’ve learned from my loss, instead of being consumed by it? I want to feel my strength again.”
Take a Moment of Grace for Yourself
Unlike most things in our lives, grief and loss aren’t linear. They’re cyclical and unpredictable.
A good week doesn’t mean you’re finished, and a hard one doesn’t mean you’re back at the start.
I’m here to help you allow yourself to feel what comes, without becoming paralyzed by it.
We’ll do this as a conversation, at your pace, with practical ways to steady yourself on the hard days.
Bring Whatever the Week Brought
Some sessions will be about the person, or the life, you lost.
Others will be about everything that’s changed since, and both belong here.

The Other Side Looks Different Than You Think
You want to get to the “other side.”
What I want to help you see is that some part of your loss will become an integral part of you.
The someone or something you’ve lost becomes a strength.
And you’ll honor the memory of that person, or that experience, for the value it added to your life.

Bask in the Warmth of Your Memories
You can bask in the warmth of your memories, stronger for what you’ve learned.
You can be grateful for the unique, inevitable lesson that grief and loss bring.
Flourishing in the face of loss is possible, and it’s what we’re working toward.
Start With Three Words
All you have to do is say, “please help me.” You do not have to do this alone, nor should you.
Reach out, and let’s start toward a more enlightened version of yourself.
The first 15 minutes are on me. Call (475) 215-2634 or email mindembodytherapy@gmail.com, and we’ll get it on the calendar.
Sessions are online throughout Connecticut.
Step Into Modern Empowerment
If the part about not being heard is the part that landed, bring me that one first.
The first call is free and runs about 15 minutes. Reach me at (475) 215-2634 or send a few lines to mindembodytherapy@gmail.com.
It can come out clumsy the first time. Understanding it is my job.
